Forget About Me

performed live since october 1997 (at least)

Released on Cry me a liver, Fierce Panda.
"THE BIG ISSUE" magazine - XFM CD compilation
Almost Here, may 1998. (same version)

They're now...just fading…in my mind,
Irrelevant echoes of mankind.
I never met their demands,
And they never gave me half a chance.

And I don't know another theme to talk about
But I don't ask for your help.
So you can just
Forget me, forget about me,
Forget me, forget about me.

Traitors to the open hearted
Consigned me to my fate,
Then named their own price
To leave with a story.
And still…

I'm thinking of ways to keep my pride from running out,
Thinking of ways to keep my time from running out,
Thinking of ways to keep my pride from running out,
Thinking of ways to keep my time from running out.

Forget me, forget about me
Forget me, forget about me
Forget me, forget about me
Forget me, forget about me

Rockmixer:"Why is Forget About Me so sad?"
Andy:"Forget About me is the only song written during a rehearsal. The melody came
from nowhere and then I wrote the lyrics. The atmosphere being already very marked, I could only follow this natural trend. At first I wrote the lyrics thinking about a love story and then I realized it could correspond to the idea of a man abandoned by the society."
This song is almost always played at the beginning of the gigs and during radio sessions (along with same mistakes) which leads some people (not me) to get tired of this song.
