Revolution

performed live only once:
London, England - the Bloomsbury Theatre, 13/12/1998

Higher than Reason, 2/2/1998

Goddamn this breakthrough
It crowds me out
It stops me from working
These answers are :

Sometimes the letters and the numbers don't add up
Is the revolution worth the pain ?
Is the revolution worth the pain ?
Who stole the reigns anyway

It helps to know that
We have the choice
And people were so nice
Helping us on and on and on

The letters and the numbers don't add up
Is the revolution worth the pain ?
I
s the revolution worth the pain
When to all intents we stay the same ?

Is the revolution worth all that pain ?
Who stole the reigns anyway
It helps to know we made the choice
We could be still downtrodden
We could be far away
And our face, the never circle

Goddamn this breakthrough
It crowds me out
Is the revolution worth the pain
When to all intents we stay the same ?

Did it ever happen anyway ?
Did it ever happen anyway ?
Is the revolution worth the pain ?
And it stole the reigns anyway
When to all intents we stay the same
Is the revolution worth all that pain ?
And all that misery
When all that goes around
Still comes around

ANELYSE:"Which song do you think is the worst you've ever written ?"
NIGEL : Revolution…hehe…
ANELYSE:" Why don't you like " Revolution " ?"
JASON : "I like my part."
NIGEL : "I like all the parts individually."
ANDY : "Actually, I think I dislike hmm…what's it called ? " Coming round " even more, there you go, I dunno why. I think " Revolution " was a good song that went wrong but " Coming round " was never a particularly good song, it's just very average." (Anelyse's enormous interview, Brussels, january 1999)

Playing it at Bloomsbury was a kind of favour to their fans but they promised they'll never play it again.
Anyway I still think it's a good song with clever lyrics.
